Supplies You Need
A clean glass jar or glass bowl
Organic apple scraps, chopped apples, or apple peels.... or all of the above!
Sugar cane
Filtered water or distilled water
A cheesecloth, coffee filter, or wig cap
Large Rubber bands
Step 1
I clean my apples by boiling it for 10 seconds on each side.
Step 2
I peel and chop the apples into small cubes, down to the core. (Save your seeds😊)
Step 3
Fill your glass bowl or jar halfway with the apples and apple peels.
Step 4
Pour the distilled water over the apples until covered, add 1 tablespoon of sugar and stir until the sugar is dissolved. (1Tablespoon per one cup of water used)
You can add less if you'd like. Sometimes I add 2 tablespoons for 6 cups water. I also use raw sugar cane instead of refined sugar.
Step 5
Place a breathable towel, panty hose, cheesecloth and secure it with a rubber band.
Step 6
Place in a dark, stable room temperature area for 2-4 weeks. Stir and cover the apples with the water everyday for 1-2 weeks to prevent mold.

Step 7
After 2-4 weeks of fermenting, your apples will look mushy and slightly brown. Strain the apples in a clean glass jar and continue to cover it with the same cheesecloth and rubber band, allowing it to sit in the same en
Step 8
Set your strained ACV in a stable room temperature dark space with a cheesecloth.
***I set my ACV for about another month but you can let it sit longer, if you choose (1-3 months is recommended. You can taste or smell it to see if it is up to your liking. As far as taste you may be looking for a tangy, vinegary, alcoholic kind of taste.
(I placed one particular jar in an unstable environment and unfortunately half of the apple cider vinegar evaporated).
Step 9
When it is up to your liking, cover your ACV with an air-tight lid and ENJOY!
